What's Ahead
Finding reliable plumbing and HVAC reviews can be frustrating because one site may show glowing feedback while another highlights complaints about pricing, memberships, inspection fees, or follow-through. If you’re trying to decide whether Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians is the right company to call, you need to know what real customers are praising, what they’re criticizing, and what questions to ask before scheduling service.
Because we’re Eco, this review needs to be transparent. We looked at public review and complaint sources visible as of July 8, 2026, including Angi, Google, BBB, ComplaintsBoard, BestProsInTown, and Eco’s own customer review feed. Since Eco also performs electrical work, we focused only on plumbing and HVAC feedback, except where a platform reported company-wide ratings or complaints.
By the end of this article, you’ll understand the biggest patterns in Eco’s 2026 plumbing and HVAC reviews, including where customers say we perform well, where they’ve raised concerns, and what to clarify before booking service.
What Positive Plumbing Reviews Say About Eco
The strongest positive theme in Eco’s 2026 plumbing reviews is technician professionalism. Across recent Angi reviews, customers mention efficient drain clearing, polite service, clear explanations, and technicians who respected their homes while completing the work.
★★★★★"The tech was excellent for me. He worked efficiently and quickly. He's very personable and a truly nice guy. I'll take him any time."
★★★★★"Eco Plumbers exceeded our expectations in every way. They were incredibly kind, professional, and respectful from start to finish. What really stood out was their willingness to come back out on a weekend so they could explain everything clearly to both my husband and me together—it made a huge difference in helping us feel confident and informed. He also came early so my daughter wouldn't miss an Easter Egg event! They took the time to walk us through the issues without any pressure or upselling, which we truly appreciated. It's rare to find a company that is this honest and transparent. On top of that, their pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of service we received. If you're looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and genuinely customer-focused plumbing company, Eco Plumbers is an excellent choice. I also want to take a moment to recognize Alex Queener for the excellent work he did. His professionalism and attention to detail did not go unnoticed."
That pattern shows up across several types of plumbing jobs. A June 2026 drain-clearing review described the technician as efficient and personable. A March 2026 sump pump replacement review praised the technician for explaining which pump made the most sense and why. A February 2026 tankless water heater installation review described the team as professional and respectful.
★★★★★"Robert was very, very professional and took the time to explain everything to me. He suggested which Sump Pump I should use and why, and explained every detail I needed to know in the future should a problem develop. He is a true professional!"
★★★★★"Very professional and respectful"
Other 2026 reviews mention positive experiences with fixture repairs, water heater repairs, burst pipe repairs, and drain cleaning. In one May 2026 water heater repair review, the customer specifically called out the technician’s customer service, neatness, and willingness to answer questions.
The Good: Customers are not just saying Eco fixed the problem. They are saying technicians explained what was happening, treated their homes with care, and helped them understand their repair or replacement options.
What Negative Plumbing Reviews Say About Eco
The most common concern in Eco’s 2026 plumbing reviews is cost and clarity around pricing. Even in positive reviews, price still comes up. One April 2026 Angi reviewer gave Eco five stars for gas piping but noted the service felt slightly expensive. Another April 2026 reviewer gave a three-star rating and said the original price felt too high before Eco issued a partial refund.
★★★★★"Very good service. Slightly expensive."
★★★☆☆"Charged an outrageous price. My husband had to call the company which then gave us a 50% refund. If not for that, the rating would have been zero."
BBB complaints show a similar pattern around expectations. In one May 2026 complaint, a homeowner said they were frustrated that a sewer estimate required either a camera inspection fee or membership enrollment. Eco responded by explaining that free visual evaluations are available, but accurate underground sewer-line estimates require a camera inspection.
BBB Complaint #24888138
Service or Repair Issues · Filed 05/28/2026
Initial Complaint
05/28/2026On May 6, 2026, we had someone come to our residence from Eco to give us an estimate to reline our main sewer to the city tap. He stated he needed to run his sewer camera to be able to get us a quote. We asked what the charge would be and were told $450.00. He then explained it would be free if we joined the Advantage membership. We didn't want the membership, but it seemed like it would save some money. It seemed strange that a free estimate would cost anything.
Our complaint is that a free estimate cost us $340. None of the other companies quoting this project wanted a nickel. We believe we should be reimbursed the $340 and the membership we didn't want should be canceled.
Business Response — Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians
06/01/2026Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention through the Better Business Bureau. We understand the frustration about the cost of obtaining an estimate for a sewer line project. Eco Plumbers provides free visual evaluations; however, sewer line projects require a camera inspection to produce an accurate estimate — a technical diagnostic service requiring specialized equipment, trained expertise, and time.
When our technician visited the home, he explained that the standard camera inspection fee is $450.00, and presented an alternative: enrolling in our Advantage membership program for $340.00 annually, which includes the camera inspection at no additional charge along with other benefits. The customer chose to enroll, and we completed the camera inspection as promised, providing professional findings and a detailed estimate. Had the customer instead paid the standalone $450 fee, that amount would have been credited toward the final project cost.
The customer may choose to retain the membership and its benefits for the remainder of the year, or cancel it going forward; however, we are unable to provide a refund, as the camera inspection service was already completed and the diagnostic findings were provided.
Customer Answer
06/01/2026The customer rejected the business's response, noting she was still enrolled in a service plan she did not want. She pointed out that three other companies had provided free estimates at no charge, and that she was told the camera work was needed to give an accurate estimate — which she felt was the business's responsibility to provide, not hers to fund. She continued to request a refund.
Business Response — Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians
06/10/2026Our technician presented clear options for the camera inspection service, and the customer chose to join the Advantage membership at $340 annually because it included the inspection at a lower total cost than the standalone fee. Only after the authorization was signed on May 6, 2026, did we perform the comprehensive video inspection, which revealed critical issues with the sewer system, including root intrusions, offsets, and a cracked/broken pipe near the city tap.
In good faith, and to bring the matter to a close, we offered the following resolution:
- Immediate cancellation of the Advantage membership to prevent any future annual charges
- A partial refund of $125 as a goodwill gesture
This would result in a final cost of $215 for the comprehensive camera inspection service performed.
Customer Answer
06/17/2026Following a call requesting the complaint be reopened to respond, the customer accepted the business's response to resolve the complaint.
Final outcome: Membership canceled and a $125 partial refund issued. Complaint accepted and closed as resolved by the customer on 06/17/2026.
ComplaintsBoard includes more critical feedback, including a February 2026 complaint about membership expectations and “free services.” Other complaints on the platform mention water heater service, multiple visits, warranty expectations, and disputed added costs.
The Bad: Some customers felt surprised by pricing, unclear about what was included in a membership or diagnostic visit, or frustrated when a repair required more follow-up than they expected.
What Positive HVAC Reviews Say About Eco
Eco’s HVAC reviews are harder to separate from the company’s plumbing and electrical reviews, but the recent feedback we could identify points to a familiar strength: professional technicians who explain what they are doing.
On Eco’s own customer review feed, one HVAC customer said the technician arrived earlier than expected, diagnosed the issue, explained what was wrong with the outside unit, completed the repair, and rinsed the unit to improve airflow. A recent Google review shared a similar experience, noting that an Eco technician completed an A/C checkup, was polite and professional, explained the work, and finished the visit in a timely manner.
★★★★★"I'm updating and adding a second review for EcoPlumbers. I had my annual AC tuneup with Michael. He explained everything he was going to do. When he was done he went over what he did and what he found. Unfortunately, I had several issues with my unit that needed to be addressed. Thankfully one of the main parts was still under manufacture warranty. He called the company to confirm and was able to replace that part for labor cost only. He went over all my options for the other repairs and was very helpful in determining what was most important to get completed now. He was also able to get me an additional discount for labor! He went and picked up all the necessary parts and was able to complete everything the same day, even in the extreme heat! Michael was pleasant, respectful and knowledgeable. Thank you Michael!"
★★★★★"Keith did an absolutely wonderful job! He arrived sooner than expected and immediately diagnosed the problem with my HVAC system. Once we went to the outside unit, he knew exactly what was wrong. He gave me a little tutorial on it and fixed it with a smile on his face. He even went the extra mile to hose off the unit to make sure the airflow was as good as it possibly could be. It was a pleasure to work with him, even though he did all the work! A definite five-star experience from start to finish and I'll definitely be using them again for any of my plumbing, electrician, or HVAC needs"
The Good: Positive HVAC reviewers tend to value Eco’s quick diagnosis, practical explanations, and technicians who make the system easier to understand.
What Negative HVAC Reviews Say About Eco
The clearest negative HVAC feedback we found came from a recent Google review. The customer described an A/C service visit that included an air purification product and said they felt the main A/C issue was not fully resolved. They also said the added product did not deliver the result they expected.
★☆☆☆☆"Eco has to be by far the worst company I have ever seen for HVAC. First when I began to have A/C issues at my home I called them over due to the air conditioner freezing, at the time my spouse was the one who talked with the tech and instead of focusing on fixing our actual issue the tech sold this useless I-Wave (scam) air "purification" system. This has NEVER helped the quality of the air so please do not get scammed into the multiple hundreds of dollars this system cost. The tech essentially claimed didn't see anything that he could find that was wrong (since I let the A/C unit unfreeze) it was cooling correctly but of course the next afternoon it was frozen again.
Fast forward and we have them come out again now it was no longer cooling at all and by the afternoon it would be frozen solid. For a second time the tech hooks up the gauged and apparently doesn't see anything wrong and tells me it's fine. He said the A/c unit is getting "confused" and it would reset and work if I reset our units circuit breaker. I will admit I almost lost my mind, for another $100 service fee you really can't find anything wrong and the solution is it's confused? Why does it keep freezing up?? He also claimed the furnace door was "loose" and this will cause an airflow issue.
Well here we are in 2026 and I've not touched the furnace since the tech came out and lo and behold the a/c unit freezes up again the second it gets hot. Filter was clear as much as I could see. All that money down the drain and still not fixed A/c unit. Absolutely a joke.
A BIGGER I also had them come over and take a look at our water heater and I will be 100% transparent he did say that he would recommend replacing the unit instead of trying to replace elements. I asked him if there was any change elements could extend this so I can figure out a new plan he said yes it should get you a few months down the road, well I went ahead and replaced the elements because I thought it could get me a few months later so I could research a better company to replace it. Because the initial quote of $2300 to replace the tank seemed high to me!
Well after the replace and spending $700 I had hot water for a grand total of 9 hours and then the elements went out again. The amount of rust and issues with this tank the tech should have flat out said there is rust holes (which I didn't find out until I had another company replace it) and when rust starts it's very hard to get the elements to seal properly so this will just continue to leak, instead of saying that he just took our money.
I called eco and they offered to drop $500 off of the quote of $2300 to replace the water heater. So in total I would have spend $2500 through this whole water heater situation. I believe that is unacceptable. They should have offered $700 off the replacement since they sold me a false promise that the water heater was in good enough condition to last a few months. Instead it lasted a few hours later, I will attach a picture of a water tank. This was AFTER the element replacement, they left me with a leaky tank and $700 out of my pocket. I put the foil to try and direct the water still pouring out of the tank somewhere hopefully other than my floor.
I still ended up spending $2300 because I wasted my time with Eco and the elements and lost all that money. I absolutely had zero trust I was in any good hands after the element issues so why would I trust them to replace whole tank??
I ended up finding a small town company who replaced it with a better quality tank AND installed a drain tube through my flood as I was also dealing with water messing with my floors as my old tank had no drain tube. With all that work I paid the new company $1600 which was $200 cheaper than eco ridiculous quote after the $500 discount for my troubles. The company I hired to fix my tank and did a great job was D Fields Construction LLC if you need some good work!!"
That does not mean every HVAC customer will have the same experience. However, it does show why homeowners should ask direct questions before agreeing to add-ons, indoor air quality products, monitoring services, or memberships. If a technician recommends anything beyond the core repair, ask what problem it solves, what it costs, and how you will know whether it worked.
The Bad: When HVAC service includes add-ons or membership recommendations, some customers may feel unclear about what is necessary, what is optional, and what results they should realistically expect.
What Homeowners Should Ask Before Hiring Eco for Plumbing or HVAC
Before scheduling plumbing or HVAC work with us, the best thing you can do is ask clear questions before approving the visit, repair, replacement, or membership. Reviews show that many customers appreciate our explanations, but some negative feedback points to confusion around pricing, inspections, memberships, and follow-up expectations.
1. Is this a free estimate, a diagnostic, or a paid inspection?
This is especially important for sewer lines, water heaters, HVAC diagnostics, and any service that requires camera work or system testing. Before the appointment begins, ask what the visit includes and whether there is a fee.
2. What are my options, from basic repair to full replacement?
Many positive reviewers appreciate that we explain multiple options. Still, if you feel overwhelmed, ask the technician to clearly separate what is required now, what is recommended, and what can wait.
3. Is this price before or after membership savings?
If a membership is mentioned, ask what is included, what is not included, whether it renews, and how cancellation works. You should understand the regular price, the member price, and the actual savings before making a decision.
4. What happens if the first repair does not solve the issue?
For water heaters, HVAC systems, sewer lines, and recurring drain problems, ask about the warranty and follow-up process. Get the answer in writing so you know what to expect if the problem comes back.
5. Can I take time to review the estimate?
A trustworthy home service company should be willing to explain the estimate without making you feel rushed. If you are considering a larger repair or replacement, it is reasonable to pause, review the details, and compare your options before moving forward.
Is Eco Worth Calling For Plumbing or HVAC in 2026?
Based on 2026 public reviews, Eco is worth considering if you want professional technicians, clear explanations, fast scheduling, and one company that can handle both plumbing and HVAC needs. Many positive reviews point to respectful service, helpful communication, and completed repairs, especially when technicians take time to explain what went wrong and what options are available.
Eco may not be the best fit if your main priority is finding the lowest possible price. Some negative reviews and complaints mention high costs, confusing estimates, membership questions, diagnostic fees, or frustration with follow-up. Even with strong ratings on some platforms, buyers should still pay close attention to the details behind both positive and negative reviews.
What Eco’s 2026 Reviews Can Help You Decide

FAQs
How should homeowners compare Eco reviews across different platforms?
Look for patterns instead of relying on one rating. A five-star review site may highlight technician friendliness, while a complaint site may reveal concerns about pricing, communication, or follow-up. The most useful feedback is specific, recent, and tied to the type of service you need, such as drain cleaning, water heater repair, A/C maintenance, or furnace service.
What makes a plumbing or HVAC review trustworthy?
A trustworthy review usually explains what the problem was, what service was performed, how the technician communicated, and whether the customer felt the result matched the cost. Reviews that only say “great service” or “too expensive” can still be helpful, but they do not give as much context as reviews that include details about the job, timeline, estimate, and outcome.
Should negative reviews stop me from calling Eco?
Not automatically. Negative reviews are worth reading because they show where expectations can break down, especially around pricing, memberships, diagnostics, or follow-up visits, and they are a reflection of the response and solution the company provides. The better approach is to use those reviews to ask better questions before booking, so you understand the scope, cost, and next steps before approving any work.
